Reimagining Education for a Brighter Future
WHO WE ARE

Indie Education is a pioneering education provider founded in October 2024, designed to provide specialised educational support for young people across Leicester and Leicestershire aged 14-19, particularly those with social, emotional, and mental health needs who do not fit traditional educational models—offering a safe, inclusive environment where every young person is seen, heard, and empowered.
CEO Chris Bruce and Deputy CEO and Head Teacher Sara Marsh lead Indie Education with a shared commitment to transforming education for neurodiverse learners. Chris brings 25 years of experience turning SEMH schools into Ofsted-rated “outstanding” institutions and founded Indie UK in 2024 to introduce a strength-based, flexible curriculum. Sara, a passionate educator with personal insight into learning challenges, is known for her emotional intelligence and leadership, and is deeply committed to supporting young people in her Leicester community.
Through strong community partnerships, dedicated staff, and a proven track record, Indie Education bridges the gap between education and real life. Whether the goal is further study, employment, or independent living, we’re here to guide each learner on a path that’s meaningful and sustainable.
